Tweet from twitter@iPhoneMania_jp March 7, 2022, 08:12 Until read completion About 1 minute 53 seconds When the browser is open, the computer slows down there is. One of the causes of such performance deterioration is the resource consumption of open tabs. In other words, open tabs are consuming a lot of resources such as CPU and memory. It turns out that Microsoft Edge will implement
a function to detect tabs that cause performance degradation.
"Performance Detector" will be implemented
This is a feature called "Performance Detector". When this feature is enabled, the browser will detect performance issues in each tab and offer recommended improvements. Microsoft Edge only makes suggestions for improving performance. Your browser will not automatically close tabs. This feature will be implemented in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10/11. However, implementation on other platforms such as Mac and smartphone is unknown.
Fullscreen PDF Button Implemented
Another new Microsoft Edge feature is currently being tested to implement a PDF fullscreen button . Press this button to hide the toolbar and display the PDF in full screen. Microsoft did a desperate deterrence strategy to increase Edge's market share. However, according to StatCounter, Edge's share in February 2022 was 4.06%, with no significant change in share.
