"Portable Wi-Fi" Review
25/03/2022
I'm confused, yeah.
The released iPhone 13 & iPhone 13 Pro. Many people say that they have already bought it, but some people are still wondering which one to buy. I know, I know It's not that cheap.
So I don't know which one is better! For those who say, I actually touched these two models and checked the difference. There are quite a few differences that cannot be seen from the spec table alone.
First, let's look at what both models have in common.
Continuing from the iPhone 12, the square bezel style is adopted. It has the same design as the iPad Pro and iPad Air. Well, for those of you who know the iPhone 4s era, you may feel nostalgic and think this is a good one (although it's a different design, strictly speaking). When you actually hold it in your hand, it feels like it fits perfectly in your hand. Well, it's just my personal opinion.
The iPhone 13 series now supports MagSafe. Wireless power supply is possible. However, the MagSafe charger is sold separately, so please purchase it if you need it.
Both models are rated IP68. It can be used for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 6m. With this kind of performance, it seems that it will be fine if it is covered with water in everyday life.
Well, in terms of appearance, the two models are not that different. However, there is quite a difference when you actually touch it.
iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro have the same Ceramic Shield coating on the display surface, but the treatment on the back is different. The iPhone 13 is labeled as "glass" and the iPhone 13 Pro is labeled as "textured matte glass".
Textured matte glass has a frosted glass-like surface and feels a little different. The iPhone 13 feels smooth, and the iPhone 13 Pro feels smooth.
Also, the side material is different. The iPhone 13 is aluminum and the iPhone 13 Pro is stainless steel. Aluminum is rough and stainless steel is smooth.
To sum up the feel of this back and side,
It feels like. I think the iPhone 13 feels better in the hand.
Both models are the same size. 146.7 H x 71.5 W x 7.65 H mm. The display size is 6.1 inches. However, the weight is different. iPhone 13 is 173g, iPhone 13 Pro is 203g. The difference is 30g. When you actually pick it up, you can feel the difference in weight. It's not a subtle difference, the iPhone 13 Pro is clearly heavier.
This is probably due to the difference in camera units. For those who say, "Lightness is the life of a smartphone!"
The size of both models is 6.1 inch organic EL, but the refresh rate is different. The iPhone 13 hasn't been revealed, but it's likely 60Hz. On the other hand, the iPhone 13 Pro has a maximum of 120Hz. In addition, the iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with the ProMotion function. This changes the refresh rate according to the usage of the screen. This also saves power.
Let's play games! For those who want to watch videos smoothly, the iPhone 13 Pro may be the only choice.
iPhone 13 has a lineup of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, and iPhone 13 Pro has a lineup of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The 1TB model is only on the iPhone 13 Pro. If you want even a little larger capacity, let's go with the iPhone 13 Pro.
In a way, this is the biggest difference between the two models. As for the camera configuration on the back, the iPhone 13 has a two-camera configuration of wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras, and the iPhone 13 Pro has a three-camera configuration of telephoto, wide-angle, and ultra-wide-angle cameras.
The zoom range is 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom for iPhone 13, and 6x optical zoom and 15x digital zoom for iPhone 13 Pro. In addition, only the iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with functions such as macro shooting, portrait mode in night mode, Adobe ProRAW compatibility, and dual optical image stabilization in telephoto and wide angles.
In a nutshell, the iPhone 13 Pro is the best choice for camera performance.
Looking at the features related to video shooting, dual optical image stabilization at telephoto and wide angles, up to 9x digital zoom, and ProRes video recording at up to 4K/30fps This is a feature of the iPhone 13 Pro only. Regarding ProRes video recording, the 128GB model is limited to 1080p and 30fps.
If you want to use the iPhone to create video works, the iPhone 13 Pro is definitely the way to go, and if you only use it for casual shooting, I think you'll be satisfied with the iPhone 13.
Well, I've written a lot, but in the end, the price will decide! There should be a lot of people who say. No matter how high performance it is, if it's expensive, you can't buy it. From the point of view of cost-effectiveness, it is important to ask, "Is the price commensurate with the performance?"
So, let's make a simple comparison.
iPhone 13
128GB: 98,800 yen
256B: 110,800 yen
512GB: 134,800 yen
iPhone 13 Pro
128GB: 122,800 yen
256GB: 134,800 yen
512GB: 158,800 yen
1TB: 182,800 yen
The iPhone 13 is overwhelmingly more affordable. Well, I think it depends on the individual as to which one to buy, but personally, I think the good balance between performance and functions is around the iPhone 13's 256GB or the iPhone 13 Pro's 256GB. think
So which one are you?
