It is natural that you can search on your smartphone immediately if you are interested. In order to get to the information quickly, I want to save the trouble of operation as much as possible. I would like to recommend to you the widget newly added in the Android version of "Google Chrome" ("Google" app on iOS).

Perform image search with 2 taps. Character extraction and translation are also OK

The widget was added to the Android version of the web browser "Google Chrome". There were two existing widgets, a search bar that allows you to call keyword search and voice search immediately, and a bookmark list. By placing these on the home screen, it is convenient to move to the search screen or access the target page with one tap.

Two more widgets have been added. One is a button that can be called for keywords, voice, and image search, and a button that opens a secret tab and a dinosaur game (described later). The keyword / voice search has the same function as the existing widget, but the image search is in the form of calling Google Lens, and you can search the Internet for photos taken on the spot or similar to the image in the terminal. You can also perform image searches with just two taps to extract text in images and translate them into different languages.

On iOS, you can use the equivalent widget by installing the search tool "Google" app. However, please note that the buttons for the dinosaur game are omitted.

Immediately play action games for a change of pace

The second is a cute design widget that just calls an action game in which dinosaurs run. The role is the same as the one provided by the button in the first widget, tapping it will launch Chrome and you can play the game immediately. This game is like an Easter egg that appears when you try to access a website in Chrome when your device is offline. On the side-scrolling screen that gradually speeds up, you can make the dinosaurs jump by tapping and clear the obstacles that appear one after another.

It's not a practical widget, but it's sure to be healed by being able to see the pixel art dinosaurs on the home screen at any time. Why don't you try to get a high score by playing for a change when your work gets stuck?
