――What are your efforts to expand the agricultural production of the JA Group and increase the income of farmers?
Scales expanded by labor saving
As a JA self -reform initiative, we have set up four pillars in the “Regional Revitalization Comprehensive Strategy”, which began in 2016, and promoted the development of agricultural production base.The first pillar is the expansion of the new variety of pears, Shin -Kanesen, the second is the strawberry housing complex, the third is the high cost house in watermelon, and the fourth Wagyu beef breeding beef.This strategy ended in FY2020 and almost achieved four goals.
We have been working on the "Shin -Regional Revitalization Comprehensive Strategy" since 2021.The first is the enhancement of the pear production base.In order to respond to labor shortages, we are promoting the introduction of a power -saving tree.In addition, now, pear is mainly "Shin -Kanesen", which is popular among young generations, but the representative varieties of Tottori Prefecture are the "20th century".Currently, varieties with high sugar content are required, but the demand for the "20th century", which has a well -balanced sugar and acid, can be expected.The company plans to establish a joint cultivation and mechanical work system, and strive to maintain and expand the area by saving labor.
Second is the production of broccoli.The plan is planned to be expanded to 500 ha by 25 years, mainly in Kotoura -cho in the jurisdiction.The third is the production of the original variety of Tottori Prefecture, the rice Mai, "Starry Sky Mai".It will expand 337ha for 20 years to 1000ha in 5 years.Since the quantity is not a leading US -producing area, we are aiming for a brand -powered production area with effort into improving quality.Fourth, we will work on the advancement of Wagyu beef beef.Beef beef is the best in Japan in Japan in 2017.Taking advantage of this brand power, we are planning to increase the number of 1320 in 20 years to 1650.
――I think it's an ambitious production area strategy.In order to achieve this goal, it is essential to secure young farmers.How do you respond to the labor shortage?
For those who want to work in agriculture, we are actively supporting JA.New farmers have a mechanism to train with agricultural production corporations, a subsidiary of JA.By 2020, 18 new farmers are growing.There is also a consultation for farming in JA.
We are interrupted by Corona, but we hold consultations in Osaka every year.However, the opinion that it should be recruited locally came out of the production farm, and the Agricultural Personal Reference Center was created in JA.Initially, it was a human resource measures for joint -use facilities such as the selection site, but the work of agricultural production sites is gradually increasing.The center has been working on 120 to 200 people a year, including the job of the selection site, with three or four people.
On the other hand, more and more people are starting to start agriculture, and we are actively supporting them.In addition to the training of JA subsidiaries on farms, the production department of the producers, such as watermelon and broccoli, will accept new farmers as trainees and grow them alone.
――I think securing the labor, including the bearers, is indispensable for maintaining the production area in the future. What kind of regional agricultural visions do you draw?
For the time being, we will create a production area that matches the workforce, but I think that the labor shortage can be covered by mechanization and labor saving.As the aging of farmers progresses, the number of small farmers has increased and the farmland can afford.It is necessary to increase production efficiency to undertake this and maintain and expand the production area.The cultivation of broccoli, which is now focusing on JA, is an example, and now there are now producers who are almost mechanized and expanded in size, except for harvesting work.The harvest machine has already been developed, and we hope that it can lead to the creation of a 500ha broccoli production area.
White onions, watermelon, and pear producers are also fine, and more people are growing newly.Livestock is the best Japanese beef in Japan, and producers are working hard.The jurisdiction is a well -balanced production area that can be done, such as rakkyo, Nagigai, and tomatoes.However, the number of items has increased cost, and there are aspects that are burdensome for JA's management.The challenge is how to narrow down the items in the future.

JA's self -reform is a lifeline, thinking that dialogue and information dissemination with union members are actively working.The expansion of broccoli is due to the story of a large -scale bearing farmer made in visiting activities, but smart farming due to mechanization is possible, demand can be expected, and it can be used in collaboration with Western JA Tottori.There was a wide -area co -election facility for all farms, and I was convinced that this would be possible.Visit activities are required to all full -time officers.Once a month, you always visit one or two or two farmers and hear opinions and requests.
In visiting activities, there are many constructive opinions from producers.In addition to the promotion of broccoli production and holding a local farming council, faxes and e -mails from the selection site, the participation of women in the production department, etc.There are many things that have been realized.
The important thing in dialogue is to create an environment where anyone can speak.Even if a roundtable discussion with the production department, the women and the youth club, etc., the opinion of the representative alone is not enough.Also, even if you collect a lot, the speakers are limited, and there are many places where complaints, complaints and dissatisfaction.In that sense, I believe that it is meaningful for JA officers to visit directly and talk to union members in a rough atmosphere.

I believe that the lifeline of JA self -reform is information transmission and dialogue.In the information dissemination, we have been focusing on public relations activities since the union leader.One year after taking office, we gather mass media every month and hold regular press conferences.We are working to appeal to the middle agriculture under the tube agriculture under the title "Chubu Agriculture Mirai Declaration".We send the situation of agriculture and agricultural government, information on the production site of items according to the season, and the status of JA self -reform.
JA self -reform is that it is not easy to tell what JA is actually doing.You need to repeat the same thing.To do so, the cable TV, which broadcasts locally, is suitable.Viewers have received the reputation of being "easy to understand", and I think that information must be transmitted to the other party instead of "communicating" unilaterally from here.For that, it is difficult to collect materials and create screen materials, but the large number of items is wide and it is a plus to get agriculture.
――What kind of thoughts do you have about agriculture?
At that time, my house was a farmer growing rice and pears.I graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of a local university and joined JA.Except for the time of the staff, it was a farming job, including sales.From the standpoint of management, Ninomiya Takanori says that "economy without morals is a crime, and moral without economic economy is a sleeping word."
JA has the role of stably supplying food to the people.JA is a wonderful organization.There are aspects that you do not know when you are outside, but when you go inside, it is an organization that can understand its goodness.It is natural to devise management with self -help efforts, but if you are in trouble, you will be helped by mutual assistance.This is the good part of the cooperative.
