Link Japan starts a partnership with Fast Doctor for the purpose of realizing a smart home with medical services with an eye on a super-aging society

(Headquarters), which operates Japan's largest overtime emergency platform "Fast Doctor" : Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Ryo Kikuchi, Takashi Mizuno) is looking at a super-aging society after 2025, and elderly people who need medical care at night or on holidays can connect with doctors and nurses in real time. We will start a partnership with the aim of realizing a "smart home with medical services" in April 2022.

In Japan, the elderly aged 75 and over will account for about 30% of the total population in 2025, and we are facing the "2025 problem" that will affect various social security systems such as medical care, long-term care, and welfare. As a countermeasure to this 2025 problem, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is promoting the construction of a "comprehensive community care system" that supports medical care, long-term care, housing, and independent daily life in the community. On the other hand, in recent years, what is expected is support using ICT to realize seamless care by coordinating various occupations in real time.

Fast Doctor is Japan's largest overtime emergency platform with 1,500 doctors and 200 nurses working to support nighttime and holiday emergency consultations, emergency online medical examinations, and emergency home visits using IT technology. In addition, Link Japan is a leading company in the smart home business, providing one-stop IoT services related to smart homes and releasing a number of Japan's first IoT products.

In this alliance, the two companies have the characteristics and IT technology, and the issues up until now were "Response after grasping the physical condition of the elderly (Link Japan)" and "Elderly people who need medical care at night and on holidays." We are aiming to realize a smart home with medical services that can contribute to the operation of a comprehensive community care system by resolving each other's "early response (fast doctor)".

In the demonstration experiment that will start in April 2022, when a user of the smart home app "HomeLink" developed by Link Japan feels unwell, tap the dedicated button installed in the app to contact the Fast Doctor. It connects to the center. More than 100 nurses work at the center and can provide 24-hour medical consultations. When medical treatment is required, we will promptly guide you to online medical treatment by videophone or home visit, and then cooperate with your family doctor or local medical institution. Fast Doctor's unique system allows home visits to determine the location information of doctors / patients and specialized subjects, perform optimal routing instantly, and reach the patient in as little as 30 minutes.
