　ご存じの方も多いと思いますが、Windows 11はWindows 10とは異なり、仮想化対応のx64プロセッサ、特定のプロセッサモデル、4GB以上のメモリ、トラステットプラットフォームモジュール（TPM） 2.0といった、高いハードウェアの“必須”要件が設定されています。　Windows 11への無料アップグレードは、Windows 11対応ハードウェアを搭載するWindows 10デバイスに対して、Windows Updateを通じて2022年半ばにかけて段階的に行われますが、最近、Windows 10の「設定」アプリの「Windows Update」に表示されるようになった「このPCは現在、Windows 11のすべてのシステム要件を満たしていません」という通知に、がくぜんとしたユーザーも少なくないでしょう。　事前に「PC正常性チェック」アプリで知っていたユーザーもいるかもしれませんが、ほんの数年前に購入したばかりで、まだ新しいと思っていた自分のPCがアップグレードできないと知るのはつらいものです。「システム要件を満たしていません」の通知が今後も表示され続けるとしたら、それを目にするたびに沈んだ気持ちになってしまいます。　メモリやTPM要件はコストをかけて追加することでなんとかなるかもしれませんが、プロセッサはそうはいきません。（自作パワーユーザーを除き）事実上、PCを買い替えなければWindows 11を手に入れることはできません（画面1）。
